Compute-A-Gem
File-A-Gem offers a computer software package that will run on any IBM-compatible personal computer. Compute-A-Gem™ software enables jewelers to track gem inventory and print File-A-Gem files with a onetime computer entry. The type of gem, weight, cut, color and other descriptors can be entered into the computer. Perforated laser Print sheets of Computer file forms (4 to a sheet) are available.
Reports are organized in a precise format. From a single entry, a file can be printed and the gem documented by each of its characteristics from the time it enters inventory until it is sold. Compute-A-Gem can be used to search for specific gem qualities, as well as tracking the jeweler’s complete inventory and maintaining a record of sales. The entry fields are flexible, and summary reports can be arranged according to the user’s preferences. The software is easy to learn and has basic features appropriate for small loose gem operations, but has the sophistication and capabilities to serve large distributorships.
Compute-A-Gem™ software may be purchased separately or with File-A-Gem computer files compatible with laser printers. With the exception of the Special 64 Wallet, Compute-A-Gem files may be used with the complete File-A-Gem line of gem display products.
